Elevating your personal style through a variety of fragrance selection
In terms of how you portray yourself, your scent is one of the first things people will notice. The key to smelling memorable is sticking with one day-to-day scent you enjoy the smell of and would be okay with wearing on most days. The problem many people face when it comes to figuring out their signature scent is not being sure of how to describe the scent they like.
The first step to figuring out the right scent for you is to start off by deciding what scent family perfumes you fall into. Michael Edwards created this system to help categorize the different types of perfume scents.
A way to figure out what scent family you belong to is to think of a few perfumes you like the smell of, and look up the scents and undertones in those perfumes. Once you have determined which scents you prefer, link them to a scent family.
Once you have decided what scent family you are a part of, it’s time to go to any Sephora or fragrance store and look through perfumes from that scent family.
For a daily signature scent, it’s best to go with a scent you enjoy but one that’s long-lasting that wouldn't get you sick of easily. Most perfumes will typically have sample sizes so a good way is to try out a sample for a day or two and see how it goes for you.
